Some miscellaneous items that do not quite fit in other categories.

This is a tin bank with a coin slot on the top.  I do not know the precise age, but it is of more recent vintage.

Boat in Bottle Bank

Regular  $15

Burley  $21

This is an interesting Ship in a Bottle.  It originally contained a bottle of after shave and one of cologne.   By submitting a coupon and $2.50, you received a small ship to place inside.   Removing a cardboard disk in the top revealed a coin slot and a Bank is created.

Lantern Bank   $25

Shaped like a ship's lantern, this package held after shave and cologne.  Late 1970s or early 1980s.

Boatswain's Pipe

Boatswain's Pipe in Box

Boatswain's Pipe  $80

This is a solid brass boatswain's pipe issued as a 50th commemoration of the Shulton Company.  Stamped on the sides is "1936 OLD SPICE 1986."

Flip-Top Bottle  $N/A Rare

This bottle is in the classic Old Spice shape but has a metal flip top.  Embossed on the bottom is "OLD SPICE" around the edge, and in the center is a "P" inside a larger "G", which I interpret to be the Procter & Gamble trademark.

Hammered Tin Box   $7

This rectangular hammered Old Spice Tin is 5 1/2 by 7 1/2 inches, about 2 1/4 inches deep. The bottom says Old Spice, Classic Hammered Tin, Designed Exclusively for Shulton, Inc. 1990. It is made in England with a ship on front.  As a gift set, the box held a bottle of after shave and cologne.

Jigsaw Puzzles   $18

This jig saw puzzle is of the Ship Recovery and I suspect there was one for each of the primary ships - Grand Turk, Mt. Vernon and Friendship.  These were sold around 1970.

Playing Cards   $14

This deck of playing cards dates after 1981.

The NASCAR cards date from the late 1990s or early 2000s.

dice.jpg (69245 bytes) Dice

Everything I know about these is contained in the photo.  Two pair of dice marked "Win with Old Spice" and "Regular (top) and "Musk for Men" (bottom).

Shave Cream Radio   $70 Rare

This unique AM/FM radio dates after 1981 based on the logo design.  It sold on eBay in June 1999 for $70.

Watercolor Print - $25

Ship Friendship

Mount Vernon

Ship Recovery

James Mitchell created a series of prints for Shulton as a consumer mail-in offer in the 1960s (I am not sure of the exact dates).  Prints of the Ship Friendship, Recovery and Mt. Vernon were available. They measure 26 X 22 and are printed on heavy paper that feels and looks like canvas.

Tyco HO Scale Train Cars  $10

Spice Rack  $112 Rare

I picked this up from a gent in Canada.  It is and Old Spice spice rack!  The six small bottles are like the 1960s travel bottles and are marked: Ground Nutmeg, Cinnamon, Italian Seasoning, Oregano, Marjoram and Garlic Powder.  The backs of the bottles are blank but the red tops are embossed with a compass rose.

The rack is made of thin plywood and measures 14 inches wide.  There is a steel rod across the front to hold the bottles in place.

If anyone knows more about these please email me!

Printer Blocks  $20

Here are a couple Printer's blocks used to create advertising.

Lapel Pin   $38

This looks to be an employee corporate logo lapel pin.  I would date it after the early 1980s as the style looks like the change in product packaging that year.

6 foot Tape Measure  $30 Rare

This tape measure was made by the Stanley Tool Co. dates from the 60' or 70's, and is marked with Pat. Nos. British 897716  USA 3121957, Stanley, Life Guard.

This nice set consisting of a tie bar and a belt buckle was given to store owners for participating in a photo contest of their Old Spice store display.  It comes in a  metal box and was made by the Robbins Co. Attleboro, Ma.

Wristwatch  $15

Probably a 1980s vintage.
